Ethics in Business is central to Kareta operations and services. A series of policies and procedures have been designed and are summoned in four categories:
- Ethics in International Business
- Equal Opportunities & Diversity
- Respect to the Environment
- Social Responsibility
Ethics in International Business
Kareta Web Design & Development services, whilst managed in the UK, operate by trusted partners in both the UK and other European countries. Every partnership is established after mutually agreed terms of service and prices, ensuring that all sides are satisfied and committed to a mutually prosperous long term relationship.
All outsourcing agreements are open to re-evaluation every 2 years, re-adjusting the basis of our partnerships based on macro and micro conditions that affect all parties. This results in continuously stronger relationships.

Equal Opportunities & Diversity
Kareta currently employs and utilises the services of service providers and professionals with varied cultures, race, age groups, religious beliefs and sexual orientation. Our selection of service providers and staff is solely based on skills, expertise, experience and respect towards our corporate culture.
Kareta takes a strong stance against discrimination, whether this takes place internally - between our human resources and/or service providers - or externally - between Kareta and any of its clients and/or other stakeholders. In such cases, Kareta takes any measure to remediate, or should no solution is found, end the relationship in due grounds.
To ensure that equal opportunities and diversity are promoted across the border, from 2008, Kareta included equal opportunities and diversity disclaimers across all our contracts, terms and conditions of service.

Respect to the Environment
Kareta strives to ease the pressure on the environment. As a result Kareta constantly reviews and improves its processes resulting in greener servicers.
Our Current Measures:
- All paper, plastic and glass is recycled
- We have reduced the level of paper usage by replacing it with electronic documentation and invoicing.
- We have reduced our level of mailing by replacing it with electronic mail.
As Kareta continues to grow, there are plans to invest in electronic technologies that deliver higher level of internet collaboration to enable our members of staff to work from home more efficiently, thus reducing car emissions.
Within 2008, we are planning to pilot internet based customer services aimed at reducing customer visits without compromising the quality of our services, and minimising our transport needs.

Social Responsibility
Despite the size of our company, we made the bold decision in the first year of operation to support our community with our services. The Kareta Social Support Initiative (KSSI) was established and offers the opportunity to charities within the Bolton Metropolitan Borough Council to benefit from our services absolutely free. We currently offer this service to one charity per annum, however as Kareta grows, this initiative will grow as well.
So far the Kareta Initiative provided the
Bolton Lads and Girls
Club (BLGC), a new improved bespoke website, training
and website consultancy services helping BLGC to communicate
effectively with its stakeholders and extend its services
on the internet. In addition, the website helps the organisation
achieve a wider geographical reach and maximise funding
to continue with its outstanding services to children
and adults across the borough of Bolton.
The next Kareta Social Support Initiative is due in September 2009, more information will be published on our website 3 months prior to the application submission date.
